Kim Victoria Cattrall, born on the 21st of August, 1956 in London, is a British and Canadian actress from Canada and the UK. She is most famous for her character Samantha Jones on the HBO show Sex and the City. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for 2002 for Best Female Supporting actor. She reprised her role as the lead in Sex and the City 2: Sex and the City (2008 and Sex and the City 2) (2010) films. She is also known for her roles as a leading actress in 1980s movies Police Academy Big Trouble in Little China Mannequin and Porky's. Kim Cattrall comes to mind whenever you think of her character Samantha Jones on the hit HBO TV show Sex & the City. Cattrall is well-known as an actress who's role as Samantha Jones in the popular HBO television sitcom Sex & The City was a turning moment in her career. Before her professional career as an actress, the Skane-born model worked in fashion. The crown was awarded to her Miss Sweden. Then she moved to the US after which she started appearing in a variety of films, as minor characters. In the film Abbott and Costello Go to Mars she was described as a Venusian. In the following year, she won the Golden Globe award in the Most Promising Newcomer category, after appearing in the film Blood Alley.
